This Australiana-inspired kitchen blends warm earthy tones and natural textures, echoing the Australian landscape. A palette of muted greens, rich walnut timber, and soft creamy stone brings depth and balance, while curved forms and layered textures add a subtle sense of craftsmanship and flow. 

Cabinetry & Colour Palette

Laminex Olivine forms the main cabinetry tone, a muted yellow-based green softened with grey undertones. This grounded hue enhances the kitchen’s connection to the outdoors and reinforces the link to the Western Australian landscape and the 1970s home. 

Contrasting this, Polytec Florentine Walnut Woodmatt is used for curved open shelving and feature cabinetry, introducing a deep chocolate timber tone that adds richness and warmth. 

Benchtop

Stone Ambassador’s Perla Venata from the Zenith range anchors the design with a soft, creamy beige base and delicate marble-like veining, introducing a sense of understated luxury. The curved detailing to the benchtop ends mirrors the cabinetry forms, softening the overall space and enhancing the kitchen’s organic flow. 

Hardware & Detailing

Hepburn Hardware Surrey handles in Antique Bronze bring a softly curved form and a handcrafted feel to the kitchen. Being handmade, each piece carries its own subtle individuality, giving the impression they’ve naturally aged into the cabinetry over time.

The Alder Vito Bertoni Nuova Calare pull-out gooseneck sink mixer in graphite sits above a double sink, introducing a sleek, functional detail in a deep tonal finish that complements the surrounding textures. 

Appliances & Functionality

Integrated appliances maintain a clean, streamlined look, including a black integrated undermount rangehood, integrated dishwasher, and stacked Neff pyrolytic oven and compact oven with microwave in deep black finishes. 

Integrated LED strip lighting with dimmable remote control and a neutral/daylight colour temperature provides soft, functional illumination throughout the joinery. 

A Hafele pull-out 2-tier storage system is integrated within the cabinetry, providing full-extension, soft-close shelving that allows easy access to pantry staples in one smooth motion. The Hafele Hailo Allegra dual-bin unit is also built into the joinery, providing a practical integrated waste solution. 

Splashback & Tile Selection

The splashback features vertically laid, rectangular subway-style gloss ceramic tiles in a soft pearly off-white tone, selected by the client for their subtle handmade variation and gentle undulating surface. 

In contrast, a complementary olive-green porcelain tile introduces texture and depth under the window and along the bench, reflecting the adjacent tones and overall Australiana design.
