Our three-step kitchen design process

At The Maker Designer Kitchens we specialise in custom kitchen renovations individually designed for your home. Our on trend kitchen designs refresh and reinvent your kitchen zone to improve appearance, functionality, and most importantly your cooking experience.

We are a custom cabinet maker and stonemason specialising in the design and install of cabinets and benchtops. Our three-step process includes the Design, Manufacture and Install of your cabinetry and stone benchtops.

1. DESIGN

The design of your custom kitchen is all about understanding your individual needs for your kitchen and happens in two phases:

Pre-Design:

  • In-home or showroom Design Consult to understand your project brief
  • Establish your project budget & kitchen renovation scope
  • Uncover your cooking needs, kitchen style, design ideas & essentials of your project
  • Site Measure (if required) & initial design sketch for your custom design
  • Provide initial estimate pricing for your new kitchen
  • Client pays deposit to move to ‘Design Development’ of their dream kitchen

 

 

Design Development:

  • We provide detailed 2D design drawings for your dream kitchen
  • We select your colour scheme, cabinetry style, kitchen hardware & inclusions
  • Our clients finalise their kitchen appliance selections their kitchen design
  • We provide a formal project quote & 3D concept drawings
  • Client approval to move to manufacture stage

2. MANUFACTURE

We are proudly Australia’s largest cabinetry and stone manufacturer. Our expert team builds cabinets, benchtops and furniture – all custom made.

Our builds are fitted with only the highest quality inclusions – soft-close drawers and cupboards are a standard. We choose our inclusions based on quality and reliability – brands such as Häfele, Blum and Caesarstone.

We have a rigorous quality control process. We assemble all of our kitchens in our warehouse before installation, so we know your components are just right before we renovate.

The best thing about working with a designer and manufacturer? Everything is custom made just for you. We deliver the highest standard of quality for every kitchen we produce.

3. INSTALL

We understand that the kitchen renovation process can shake up your routine. Our experienced team will work with your renovation process to ensure the process goes as smoothly as possible.

On your project you get your own Site Supervisor who manages the manufacture and install of your cabinetry and stone project. We only hire experienced cabinet makers and stonemasons to fit your kitchen.

Our commitment doesn’t end when the renovation does. We stand by our work with a dedicated after-care service team ready to assist if you need us post-project.

What is the kitchen renovation process with The Maker Designer Kitchens?

Our kitchen renovation process is divided into three key stages: Design, Manufacture and Install. The process begins with a design consultation and progresses through design development, 2D and 3D drawings, manufacturing, quality control and installation.

What happens during my first kitchen design consultation?

During your design consultation, we’ll discuss your project brief, budget, renovation scope, cooking needs, preferred kitchen style, ideas and essential requirements. Whether you know exactly what you want or simply know it’s time for a change, this consultation is the starting point for your kitchen project.

Will I be able to see my kitchen design before it is manufactured?

Yes. As part of the design process, you’ll receive detailed 2D design drawings, followed by 3D concept drawings. Once your design and selections are finalised and approved, your project can proceed to manufacture.

How does The Maker Designer Kitchens ensure the quality of my kitchen before installation?

Your kitchen undergoes a rigorous quality control process before installation. It is assembled in our warehouse, allowing the components to be checked before your kitchen is installed in your home.

Who manages my kitchen installation?

Your project is allocated a dedicated Site Supervisor, who manages the manufacture and installation of your cabinetry and stone project. Our experienced cabinet makers and stonemasons complete the installation, and our dedicated after-care service team is available following completion of your project.
